LOGISTICS DUTY DESCRIPTIONS
LOGISTICS SQUADRON COMMANDER (LG)
This individual should be at least a third year cadet in good academic standing.
This individual is responsible for:
- Assisting the ASI in the issue, maintenance and turn in of accountable property.
- Assisting the ASI in the inventory of accountable property.
- Maintaining accurate records of all accountable property.
- Providing guidance to the cadet staff on proper supply discipline.
- Maintaining a neat, clean and functional supply room.
- Insuring only authorized personnel have access to the supply room.
- Conducting Squadron staff meetings as required to ensure the administrative work for the Squadron is accomplished in a timely and accurate manner.
SQUADRON NCOIC
This individual must be at least a second year cadet in good academic standing.
This individual is responsible for:
- Assuming command of the Squadron in the absence of the Squadron Commander and ALL other officers assigned to that squadron.
- Maintaining discipline at squadron activities as well as supervising lower ranking cadet NCOs and airmen.
- Evaluating flight activities under the supervision of the Squadron Commander within the guidelines established by AFJROTC regulations.
- Assisting the CCC in organizing the squadron for pass-in-reviews and parades.
- Ensuring Squadron NCO staff are academically eligible.
ACCOUTERMENTS
This individual must be at least a second year cadet in good academic standing.
This individual is responsible for:
- Procuring, organizing, and maintaining a comprehensive inventory of JROTC accouterments, including uniforms, insignia, and related equipment, to ensure the availability of necessary items for cadets and instructors.
- Implementing a systematic record-keeping and tracking system for all accouterments, managing the issuance and return of items, and conducting regular inventory checks to prevent loss or shortages.
- Coordinating with JROTC instructors to fulfill accouterment requests for cadets, ensuring that uniforms and equipment are properly fitted, in serviceable condition, and comply with program standards.
- Providing guidance and training to cadets and instructors on the care, maintenance, and proper wear of JROTC accouterments, promoting a sense of pride and professionalism in appearance and equipment management within the program.
EQUIPMENT
This individual must be at least a second year cadet in good academic standing.
This individual is responsible for:
- Maintaining, and overseeing a comprehensive inventory of JROTC equipment, including training aids, rifles, flags, and other instructional materials, to support the effective delivery of the JROTC curriculum.
- Developing and implementing equipment maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure that all items are in serviceable condition, safe to use, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Collaborating with JROTC instructors to allocate and distribute equipment as needed for training exercises, drills, and other program activities, while monitoring and tracking their usage.
- Conducting regular equipment inspections and coordinating repairs or replacements when necessary, contributing to the overall readiness and effectiveness of the JROTC program.
UNIFORMS
This individual must be at least a second year cadet in good academic standing.
This individual is responsible for:
- Maintain an organized inventory of JROTC uniforms, ensuring an adequate supply of various sizes and types to meet the needs of cadets and staff.
- Oversee the process of issuing uniforms to cadets, including fitting, record-keeping, and ensuring that each cadet receives the appropriate uniform items.
- Coordinate the return of uniforms from cadets who graduate, leave the program, or otherwise no longer require them, and assess the condition of returned uniforms for wear and tear.
- Identifying uniform items in need of cleaning, repair, or maintenance. Ensuring they remain in serviceable condition and present a professional appearance for all cadets.
