MARKSMANSHIP TEAM
Our JROTC Marksmanship Team embodies precision and discipline, setting the standard for marksmanship excellence. This dedicated group of cadets hones their shooting skills and competes in various marksmanship competitions, both within our program and at the national level. With a commitment to safety, skill development, and teamwork, the Marksmanship Team welcomes all cadets interested in marksmanship to participate. The Marksmanship Team is open to all 2nd, 3rd and 4th year cadets and 1st year cadets who successfully complete the 1st semester. All Cadets MUST have a Parent/Guardian Consent and Release of Liability form and a Cadet Safety Pledge signed and on file to begin training. The competition team will consist of 4 Cadets and 1 alternate cadet. Team Member selection will be based on the top five firing scores form the National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle course of fire.

Cadet Behavior Requirements for Air Rifles:
Any aggressive or threatening behavior with an air rifle is strictly prohibited (pointing at someone, acting like you are sighting at people/targets/etc).
Horseplay or irresponsible behavior with a rifle is strictly prohibited.
Cadets WILL NOT leave the supervision of AFJROTC staff when in possession of an AFJROTC air rifle.
Only authorized cadets may handle air rifles and only when permitted and supervised by the AFJROTC staff.
Cadets selected to be on the Marksmanship Team understand that any violation of the behavior requirements is cause for immediate dismissal from the team. Other disciplinary actions may be taken depending on the severity of the infraction.
A rifle handled improperly detracts from the goals of the AFJROTC program.
