COMMAND STAFF DUTY DESCRIPTIONS
CADET CORPS COMMANDER (CC)
This individual must be at least a third year cadet in good academic standing.
The CC is responsible for:
- The overall appearance, discipline, efficiency, training, and conduct of the Corps.
- Supervising both Operations and Support.
- Insuring that all members of the Cadet Corps have the opportunity to develop leadership commensurate with their individual abilities.
- Supervising Cadet Corps activities in accordance with Air Force, AFJROTC, Langham Creek regulations, principles, and procedures.
- Presiding over Cadet Review Boards.
- Commanding Parade and Pass-in-Review.
- Presiding over key staff meetings.
- Master of ceremonies during military ball.
- Establish and submitting Corps goals in accordance with AFJROTC directives.
- Ensuring criteria is met for the distinguished unit award.
CADET VICE CORPS COMMANDER (CV)
This individual must be at least a third year cadet in good academic standing.
The CV is responsible for:
- Command of the Corps during the absence of the Cadet Corps Commander.
- Supervising the Flight Commanders and insuring organization according to regulations.
- Supervising the Support functions of the Cadet Corps.
- Posting key staff meeting dates and times.
- Assisting the Corps Commander in compiling the Corps goals and assessing each goal’s impact on the community, school and cadets.
- Assisting any Cadet Officer who has difficulties with the AFJROTC program.
CADET CORPS COMMAND CHIEF (CCC)
This individual must be at least a third year cadet in good academic standing.
This individual is responsible for:
- All tasks assigned by the Cadet Corps Commander.
- Supervising First Sergeants and Flight Sergeants.
- Functioning as liaison between noncommissioned cadet officers and commissioned cadet officers.
- Attending Cadet Corps staff meetings and preparing the classroom for these meetings. Performs Sergeant-At-Arms during Commander’s Call.
- Maintaining discipline, customs and courtesies at staff meetings, commander’s call and school assemblies as well as counseling lower ranking cadet noncommissioned officers.
- Insuring that all members of the Cadet Corps have the opportunity to develop leadership commensurate with their individual abilities.
- Organizing the Corps for Pass-in-Review and parades.
- Assuming the position of "adjutant" for Pass-in-Review and parades.
- Assisting any enlisted cadet who has difficulties with the AFJROTC program.
OPERATIONS SQUADRON COMMANDER, FLIGHTS (DOF)
This individual should be at least a third year cadet in good academic standing.
This individual is responsible for:
- Assuming command in the absence of the Cadet Corps Commander and Vice Corps Commander or when directed by the SASI/ASI.
- Organizing and supervising the Flight Commanders as directed by the Cadet Corps Commander. Setting the appearance, discipline, effectiveness, and conduct for all flight commanders to follow.
- Set the LOBO Basic training schedule for all flight commanders to follow to ensure all new cadets exceed acceptable standards in military knowledge, dress and appearance, and drill and ceremony for performances.
- Planning and coordinating extracurricular and co-curricular activities with other JROTC school organizations and Air Force, Army, Navy/Marine JROTC units.
- Conducting Squadron staff meetings as required to ensure the administrative work for the Squadron is accomplished in a timely and accurate manner.
OPERATIONS SQUADRON COMMANDER, TEAMS (DOT)
This individual should be at least a third year cadet in good academic standing.
This individual is responsible for:
- Organizing and supervising the drill teams, honor guard, rocketry, marksmanship, orienteering, and PT teams for performances.
- Scheduling an Honor Guard for all home varsity games, school assemblies, other school activities as required and community events.
- Conducting Squadron staff meetings as required to ensure the administrative work for the Squadron is accomplished in a timely and accurate manner.
STANDARDIZATION AND EVALUATION SQUADRON COMMANDER (StanEval)
This individual should be at least a third year cadet in good academic standing.
This individual is responsible for:
- Observing and evaluating the progress of the Cadet Corps in accomplishing its mission, and advising the Cadet Vice Corps Commander.
- Performing periodic self-inspection of the Corps and informing the Vice Corps Commander of results.
- Supervising Inspection Team and insuring organization according to regulations.
- Acting as Chief of Inspections. Insuring the AFJROTC cadet staff follows pertinent regulations and policies.
- Initiating all Cadet Review Boards.
- Ensuring all squadron staff meet academic requirements.
- Conducting Squadron staff meetings as required to ensure the administrative work for the Squadron is accomplished in a timely and accurate manner.
MISSION SUPPORT SQUADRON COMMANDER (MSS)
This individual should be at least a third year cadet in good academic standing.
This individual is responsible for:
- Maintaining a complete record of all events and activities that take place.
- Assisting the SASI/ASI in scheduling cadets for base visits and similar activities.
- Ensuring all squadron staff meet academic requirements.
- Maintaining the official Cadet Corps personnel files.
- Maintaining the Cadet Calendar.
- Maintaining the Corps website.
- Conducting Squadron staff meetings as required to ensure the administrative work for the Squadron is accomplished in a timely and accurate manner.
LOGISTICS SQUADRON COMMANDER (LG)
This individual should be at least a third year cadet in good academic standing.
This individual is responsible for:
- Assisting the ASI in the issue, maintenance and turn in of accountable property.
- Assisting the ASI in the inventory of accountable property.
- Maintaining accurate records of all accountable property.
- Providing guidance to the cadet staff on proper supply discipline.
- Maintaining a neat, clean and functional supply room.
- Insuring only authorized personnel have access to the supply room.
- Conducting Squadron staff meetings as required to ensure the administrative work for the Squadron is accomplished in a timely and accurate manner.
SQUADRON NCOIC's
These individuals must be at least a second year cadet in good academic standing.
These individuals are responsible for:
- Assuming administrative control of the Squadron in the absence of the Squadron Commander.
- Maintaining discipline at squadron activities as well as supervising lower ranking cadet NCOs and airmen.
- Evaluating flight activities under the supervision of the Squadron Commander within the guidelines established by AFJROTC regulations.
- Assisting the CCC in organizing the squadron for pass-in-reviews and parades.
