Enrollment Eligibility
Congress established the Junior ROTC under the National Defense Act of 1916. Certain requirements as stipulated by Congress under U.S. Code: Title 10, Section 2031 must be satisfied in order to participate in a JROTC program.
The criteria for determining eligibility to participate in Air Force Junior ROTC at Langham Creek High School are:
1. Be enrolled in and attending a regular course of instruction in grades 9 through 12 at Langham Creek High School.
2. Be selected by the Air Force Junior ROTC instructor with the approval of the school principal or his/her representative.
3. Maintain acceptable standards of academic achievement and an academic standing that warrants at least normal progression leading to graduation.
4. Maintain acceptable standards of conduct.
5. Comply with specified personal grooming standards. Common sense and good judgment apply to the attainment of these standards. Standards will not be relaxed so as to reflect disgrace on the United States Air Force.
Note: Students may transfer from Army, Navy/Marines or other AFJROTC units. To receive full credit for training already received, the student must present documentation such as a cadet record or transcripts. Because programs vary from school to school, ranks held at a student’s old school may not fully transfer to Langham Creek. The instructors will conduct a complete review of the student’s records and the appropriate rank will be awarded based on this review.
